In 2010 the western aisle of the church was painted, which became a finishing touch of the church interior. At the beginning, there were some difficulties with continuing the same work after seven years, because an artist’s point of view and painting style is the subject of constant change and development. Despite this fact, overall the working process became very enjoyable. The iconpainter Lasha Kintsurashvili, with the help of Levan Davitiani, finished painting the western part of the church in only 45 days . Four scenes had been completed at this period of time. On the southern wall, was painted the scene of the Nativity of the Most Holy Theotokos. On the opposite wall, there is the scene of The Elevation of the Cross. While On the western wall Transfiguration of Jesus Christ can be seen.
The style in which the church was chosen to be painted is called old Georgian archaic style. Iconpainter Lasha Kintsurashvili embraces this style saying that it can be primitive and simple from the first sight, but at the same time it is far more emotional and spiritual than any other ecclesiastic art.
